Remodeez Deodorizers

We’ve all been there. You’re hosting a dinner party and someone goes to put something in the fridge, only to be hit by the foul odor that’s been lingering in there for weeks. Or you have to take your shoes off at a friend’s house and are worried that your feet might stink from the flats you’ve been walking in all day.

You’ve tried every DIY trick in the book to get rid of those unwanted smells. Baking soda, putting essential oils on cotton balls, or even putting baby powder in your shoes. The list goes on and on, but the problem is, none of these solutions really do the job.

That’s why I was excited to try out the outsmart smell refrigerator deodorizer and shoe deodorizers from remodeez. Unlike every Pinterest hack, these deodorizers actually do the job and I can now rest assured that my refrigerator and shoes will always smell fresh.

Both deodorizers are non-toxic, hypoallergenic and odorless, which is really important to me. They are made from activated charcoal, and instead of masking a smell; their solution actually removes the odor.

The Refrigerator Deodorizer

I first tried out the refrigerator deodorizer. I deep cleaned my fridge earlier this week, so the timing was perfect. At first, I thought I’d have to lay the deodorizer in the back of my fridge as I do a box of baking soda, but I was pleased to discover that the deodorizer included a dual lock fastener so that you can place it on the wall of your fridge.

I was also excited to learn that not only does the remodeez refrigerator deodorizer banish unpleasant odors, but it also regulates moisture. This is an added benefit that helps keep your produce crisp and your food fresh.

I did some research and you do need to replace your remodeez refrigerator deodorizer every 4-6 months, but in my opinion, it’s well worth it. You can simply stick your new one on the same dual lock velcro sticker you’ve already attached to your fridge wall.

The Shoe Deodorizer

Next, I tried out the shoe deodorizers.  When I first read, “shoe deodorizer” on the remodeez packaging, my mind went straight to the book/movie “Holes.” Does anyone from my generation remember “Sploosh?”

It was a foot and shoe deodorizer that the character Zero discovered, and it was made out of fermented peaches. These deodorizers are basically real-life “Sploosh,” except they don’t make a mess and are much easier to use.

The pack comes with two deodorizers, so you can clear out both shoes at the same time. I first gave them a go in my gym shoes, and then tried them out in my husband’s boots and so forth. Side note – my husband has more shoes than I do, so I definitely want to stock up on these deodorizers for him so that he can keep multiple pairs smelling fresh at once.

As I mentioned earlier, these deodorizers don’t just mask smells, they get to the root of the problem and extend the life of your shoes. This is done by hindering the growth of fungus and bacteria.

My Honest Opinion

While it would be nice to stock up on multiple remodeez shoe deodorizers so that you can knock out multiple pairs at once, you don’t necessarily need to. You can recharge the same set by placing it in the sun for a few hours, and the set will last up to one year depending on how often you use them.

So, if you’re tired of using baking soda, potpourri, and Febreeze, I recommend that you give remodeez refrigerator and shoe deodorizers a go. They’re not only effective but are affordable too.
